The Shoah Memorial of Milan is hosting, for the tenth consecutive year, an extraordinary event on the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of September 8, 1943, a day that marks the beginning of armed Resistance against Nazi-Fascism.
An event of great intensity, which combines memory, theater, and music to remember the fate of those who, from the underground areas of the Milan Central Station, were loaded onto freight cars and deported to concentration and extermination camps.

The traveling show, born from an idea by Stefania Consenti (from her book Places of Memory in Milan) and staged by Castagna Ravelli, directed by Paolo Castagna, leads the audience through the very places from which hundreds of people were torn from life, turning the journey into an experience of strong emotional involvement.
Making this journey even more intense will be the music of our Alessandra Sonia Romano, a violinist capable of transforming every note into a living emotion. Her “Violin of the Shoah” will accompany the words and images of memory, becoming a poetic voice that fills the silences and gives breath to remembrance. Her presence is a source of pride for us: through her artistic sensitivity, Alessandra will bring light and beauty to a context of pain, reaffirming the power of art as a tool of resistance and hope.
