Francesca Garbi, soprano, born in Cremona, studied at the Conservatory of Parma, later graduating from the Postgraduate School of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
He made his debut at the Teatro del Casinò in Sanremo with Giuseppe Verdi's "La Battaglia di Legnano", then sung at the Teatro Sociale in Mantua, at the Teatro Sociale in Como and at the Teatro Eliseo in Rome live on the radio for Rai. She sang the role of Giovanna in Giuseppe Verdi's "Giovanna D'Arco" at the Experimental Theater of Alessandria and later in "The Tales of Hoffmann" by Jacques Offenbach at the Ponchielli Theater in Cremona, where she was also entrusted with the lead role in " The Lithuanians” by Amilcare Ponchielli, an interpretation that is positively noticed by national critics.
After these successes she sang the part of Giselda in "I Lombardi alla prima crociata" as part of the Verdi celebrations in Busseto. Maestro Riccardo Muti wanted her in the role of Anna in Giuseppe Verdi's "Nabucco" and Maestro Lorin Maazel in the role of Priestess in Giuseppe Verdi's "Aida", at the Teatro alla Scala.
She was the protagonist in Dimitrij Sciostakovic's "Lady Macbeth in the Minsk district" at the G. Verdi Theater in Trieste, where the following year she made her debut in the role of Aida in Giuseppe Verdi's "Aida". Subsequently, in addition to various productions of "Aida" in Italy and abroad (Lecce, Piacenza, Ankara, Lubjana), she made her debut in the role of "Suor Angelica" by Giacomo Puccini in a production that touched important theaters in Lombardy such as the Teatro Grande in Brescia, the Donizetti Theater in Bergamo and the Ponchielli Theater in Cremona.
She made her debut at the Teatro del Giglio in Lucca as Giorgetta in Giacomo Puccini's "Il Tabarro".
She starred in Giuseppe Verdi's "Requiem Mass" for the Genoa Theater, in Giuseppe Verdi's "Un ballo in maschera" at the Magnani Theater in Fidenza and was chosen for "Andrea Chenier" by Umberto Giordano, at the Teatro Sociale in Como .
With the Teatro La Fenice in Venice he performed "La petite Messe solennelle" by Gioacchino Rossini.
She sang the role of Lady Macbeth in Giuseppe Verdi's "Macbeth" at the Teatro de La Coruña and was Elena in Arrigo Boito's "Mefistofele" under the direction of Helmuth Rilling, performed in concert form in Stuttgart and at the Cologne Philharmonic.
He also sang at the Stuttgart Liederhalle and carried out concert activity in Germany.
