I paint and embroider for the pure pleasure of doing it.

Embroidery has always been present in my life: I was six years old the first time I had a needle and thread in my hand and a half-point pattern to complete.

Then one day I set it aside, without a real reason.

Painting, on the other hand, was a secret aspiration of mine, until I started to try and find my own path, my own poetics.

Rediscovering embroidery was like mending a tear, it's as if a part of me that I had abandoned was saying, "Shall we play again?"

Of course, the game is different, but I feel at home. I can spend hours and hours creating with my hands, and the more this happens, the more I feel alive.

Fatigue does not exist, there is only concentration and the continuous attention not to let things happen without a constant search for achieving my own balance.

Balance that is in constant change and lasts a moment.

And it is that moment, that nothingness, that gap in which the wheel stops and then resumes its path, that I want to capture on my canvases.

I have always believed that art is a means to see oneself from an uncommon perspective, it is a mirror, but you must know how to intuit which image it shows you.

My works are the personal search for a path that guides me in the construction of what is written in me.

It's as if I am crossing a river and creating stones that help me ford it, each work a stone: I throw it forward, beyond what I am, to become it in the leap to reach it.

And if others, on their journey, were to cross paths with mine, and one of my stones could help them make their leap, well, that would go far beyond my hopes and my most secret aspirations.
