Yesterday evening at the Civico Liceo Musicale R. Malipiero in Varese the students of the Modern and Jazz singing course of Maestro Jasmine Labianco launched a really good signal.
Many young promises have performed, some clearly promising, and there have also been more mature singers who have always loved this kind of music, cultivating it, not without sacrifices, for a lifetime.
It was a very interesting and varied overview but the profound and relevant message that emerged, in addition to the immense pleasure of sharing strong emotions, was that of discovering that there are still many young people who successfully and freshly cultivate noble passions such as that of singing and music in general.
In a world like the one we find ourselves in where it seems that, especially young people, have lost sight of or crippled so many noble values such as music and art in general, culture, the curiosity of knowing… we discover that there are still stand out like stars in the darkness, many "young men/women" full of inner wealth and will, capable of cultivating passions and gifts that they have had the privilege of possessing.
They are ordinary young people, some very composed, others more whimsical in their look, but they have equally the same passion that drives them to follow a path of growth that will certainly offer them great personal satisfaction if not a bright career.
In this "Jazz & Blues night" event the songs performed were not entirely easy and put a strain on the performers who for the occasion were also without Maestro Jasmine Labianco, unable to participate and connected via video.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this exciting and meaningful moment happen.
We will definitely see you next time.
