ArtistaOnLine supported ARTandCHARITY in the cry " ENOUGH violence against women" : these words resonate strongly in the exhibition which was held from 18 to 26 November 2023 in Cardano al Campo (Va) and supported by us. Art becomes a powerful tool for denunciation and reflection on a topic that is still too current and urgent. The participating artists created works that tell stories of violence but also of the strength and courage of women, transforming the exhibition into a true all-round work of art.

The Mayor Maurizio Colombo and the Councilor for Equal Opportunities, Meri Suriano , have instilled enthusiasm in this event, which represents an important signal against gender violence. Art thus becomes a very powerful weapon to raise awareness and build a more equitable and just society for all.

The curator has chosen to exhibit the works of artists who fight against gender violence. Among the exhibitors there are Silvio Monti , the important artist from Varese who created two works specifically for the occasion, together with the artists Daniela Biella, Silvia Caldinelli , Gregorio Castelli , Eva Cervellino , Manuela Codazzi , Giovanni Dalla Rosa, Paul Albert Dari, Adelia De Padova , Bruno Roberto Greco , Michela Paradisi, Raffaella Porrini, Laura Pozzi Rinaldi , Anna Prestigiacomo , Virgilio Rovani, Giovanni Tommasi and Vignati Riccardo , all capable of dealing with the topic of violence against women in an original and engaging way. The works on display represent the artistic protest against gender violence and the desire for a fair and just world for all. The focus of the exhibition is the creativity, commitment, resilience and strength of women.

Mayor Maurizio Colombo and Councilor Meri Suriano have asked to combine as a second event a Musical Reading that delicately joins the exhibition, touching notes and dialogues in accordance with the exhibition.

For this event within the event, artists of international caliber were selected such as Alessandra Sonia Romano (the violin of the Shoah), Nadio Marenco (accordion) and the renowned actress and voice actress Elda Olivieri , whose performance " La partigiana Fiamma " made thrill the audience in the welcoming Sala Pertini in Cardano al Campo.
